An Abitbi Consolidated Recycling Bin is located at Tyke's Service Center on the Greensburg Pike. All proceeds from this location will benefit the Churchill Volunteer Fire Company.

About the CVFC

The Churchill Volunteer Fire Company (CVFC) was founded in 1942 to fight fires in the Borough of Churchill. CVFC also responds to mutual aid calls. During the year, the CVFC responds to an average of 180 alarms.

The Churchill Volunteer Fire Department is 100% volunteer comprised of about 25 members. There are many opportunities to participate as a firefighter, driver or with other functions such as administrative work, emergency planning, equipment maintenance, recruiting, etc.

Men and women of all ages are welcome, including high school students and retirees.

No previous experience is required and free training with state-of-the-art equipment is provided. If you want more information, stop by the firehouse on any Thursday night at 7:00 pm, or you can email the fire company president, Brian Papa at or call the firehouse at  412-342-0010.
