Weekly Pick Up Day Is Friday
Please Place Your Garbage/Rubbish At The Curb Thursday Evening. Garbage
Must Be In Plastic Bags And Placed In A Container (30 Gal. Max Capacity) With A
Lid.
Garbage Cans Must Not Be Visible From The Street And Must Be
Stored At Any Side Or Rear Yard Location Properly Screened Or Shielded From
Adjoining Residential Properties Prior To Collection. All
Cans Must Be Removed From The Curb On The Day Of Collection.
Special Collection
If You Have An Excessive Amount Of Garbage Due To Moving Or From A
General Clean Up, Notify The Hauler In Advance. One
Room Of Carpet And Padding, Cut Up And Tied In Bundles No Longer Than 3’, May
Be Placed At The Curb For Regular Weekday Collection. Tree
Limbs And Shrubs, Not To Exceed 3” In Diameter, Must Also Be Tied And Bundled
Not To Exceed 3’ In Length.
Special Backyard Collection Service Must Be Arranged By The
Homeowner. This Is A Private
Contract Between The Homeowner And The Garbage Collector. Please
Call 1-877-788-9400 To Make This Arrangement. If
You Have Any Complaints Or Encounter A Missed Pick Up You Must Call Allied
Waste Services. Please Do Not Call
The Municipal Office Since Backyard Collection Is A Private Agreement.
A Fee For Major Appliances
Major Appliances Are Removed For A Fee.
For Items Such As A Refrigerator/Freezer, Washer/Dryer, Air Conditioner, Hot
Water Tank, Or Stove, You Must Purchase A $30.00 Tag From The Borough Office
And Attach It To The Item. Also, A Freon-Removal Certification Must Be Affixed
To Any Refrigerator/Freezer Or Air Conditioner.
Another Alternative For Removal Of Freon-Contained Items Is To
Call Appliance Disposal At 1-888-Go-Freon (1-888-463-7366).
Non-Collectible Items
Noncollectible Items:
Automobile Parts, Automobile Tires And Rims, Bathtubs, Commodes, Concrete Laundry Trays, Building Materials,
Broken Concrete, Dirt Or Earth, Refuse And Rubble From New Construction,
Alterations Or Repair Of Buildings, Stones, And Trees Or Limbs Exceeding Either
3” In Diameter Or 3’ In Length, Liquids Including Paint Or Chemicals.
The Above Items Are The Legal Responsibility Of The Property Owner For Clean Up
And Repair.
Volunteer Recycling Service
As A Community Service There Is A Volunteer Recycling Service. Recycling
Is The First Sunday Of Each Month, 10:00 Am – 1:00 Pm, In The Parking Lot Of

Administration
Building

Accepted Items Include Types Of Crushed Metal Cans (No Paper Labels) And Glass
Containers.

Holidays Fall On Monday Thru Friday, Garbage Will Be Collected On
Saturday.
Fall Leaves
Fall Leaves – There Will Be Leaf Collection In The Spring And Fall. A
Separate Newsletter Will Inform You Of The Dates. Leaves
Must Be Collected In Paper, Biodegradeable Bags.
Leaves That Are Placed In Plastic Bags Will Never Be Collected By The Hauler.
